Marian – From My Personal View

Marian is an artist deeply inspired by nature’s constant change, often losing herself in colour, light, and texture as she paints. Working mainly in acrylics and oils, she also enjoys experimenting with a wide range of media, allowing curiosity and intuition to guide her creative process.

Gardening, travel, and the shifting seasons sit at the heart of her work. Whether she begins a landscape with the sky or a portrait with the eyes, each piece evolves organically, shaped by careful observation and a genuine connection to the natural world. As a retired teacher and a member of She Who Dares, Marian embraces the freedom this stage of life offers — freedom to explore, experiment, and create every day.

That same energy carries through into who she is as a person. Marian is a true busy bee — incredibly active, endlessly talented, and gifted in more ways than one. Despite juggling so much, she possesses an extraordinary level of patience and a rare sensitivity towards people. She has a natural eye not only for colour and composition, but for people themselves.

There is a warm, uplifting energy around her that feels grounding and reassuring. She is always ready to help where she can, offering her time, knowledge, and support without hesitation. To me, Marian is not only a talented artist, but a truly wonderful artistic soul — generous, thoughtful, and quietly inspiring.
