My Artists -Roma Bankowski

Roma Bankowski – From My Personal View

Roma Bankowski is a contemporary abstract painter based in the United Kingdom, known for her expressive use of colour and texture. Her work often explores themes of emotion, memory, and the human experience, inviting viewers to connect with each piece on a deeply personal level.

Her paintings are defined by bold, vibrant hues and dynamic compositions, rooted in a profound passion for colour and its ability to communicate complex emotions. Roma works with a mix of acrylics, watercolours, and other media, creating artworks that feel layered, thoughtful, and emotionally rich. Her portfolio includes both original paintings and limited-edition prints, each carrying a strong sense of presence and depth.

From my personal view, Roma is not only an incredible artist but also one of my closest friends. Her artwork often leaves me completely speechless — it is deep, powerful, and quietly intense. She is naturally shy around people, yet once she starts talking, it’s hard to stop her — and that is part of her charm. Those who take the time to listen quickly realise how much depth, humour, and insight she carries.

In public spaces, I often notice Roma looking for my eyes — a silent check-in, a reassurance that she isn’t alone. It’s a small gesture, but one that says a lot about her sensitivity and trust. She has also shared many important lessons with my son, offering guidance and care in ways that truly matter.

Roma is always there when it counts. She consistently helps me with setting up and taking down at our events, never hesitating, never asking for anything in return. Her support is constant, generous, and deeply appreciated.

I don’t know what I would do without her.
